Hello friends! It’s been way too long. I’ve been spending much of my time on Instagram, sharing bits of our life here and there. I’ve made some amazing friends and connections along the way. I have learned way more than I thought I would have from a social media outlet. It’s opened my mind to new ways of thinking to say the least.

I count those things as blessings. But all seasons change, don’t they?

It’s no secret (at least to those who are aware) that censorship and biased social media is getting a little…weird. I just can’t consciously participate on things that go against so much of what I preach. (Direct any further questions to me if you have no idea what I’m talking about! I don’t want to go into it here.)

So what I’m trying to say is…I feel called back to the blog. I can openly share my life on my own platform, use my creative energy in posts and photos…and if you care to join me, welcome!

Intentionality has been speaking to me. Any person can scroll through a social media feed, and spend all of .075 seconds looking at my content. They can choose to mash a heart button if they like what they see, and if they want to take a few seconds longer, they can comment something sweet. Don’t get me wrong, all of that has been appreciated! Like I said, I’ve made some great new buddies from scrolling through little boxes. But it’s been feeling quite trivial lately.

If you are still reading, know that I appreciate it if only one person reads a post.

To be transparent, I’ve completely left the big world of Facebook. I’ll be keeping my Instagram account, but will not be available there like I have been. The app is going off my phone. I will be popping in to check my messages, but probably won’t be as quick to answer.
