Our Favorite Cast Iron Skillet Cornbread

Ingredients

bacon grease, lard, or coconut oil for using in the bottom of the skillet
Coat the skillet, then preheat
1/4
cup
oil
coconut oil, grease, lard
1 1/3
cup
whole milk
1
tbsp
sour cream
2
cup
cornmeal
Instructions
First, preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
Add the tablespoon or two of oil to the skillet, and preheat the skillet in the oven.
Then, in a bowl, crack the egg, then add the oil, milk, sour cream, and cornmeal.
Mix together until just incorporated, but do not overmix.
Pour the batter into the preheated skillet, and cook for 20 minutes.
